Ticket types & tiers
Add as many tiers as your night needs — early bird, general, at the door — each with its own price, cap, and cut-off.
Ticket options only appear once Stripe is connected to your group. See Getting paid.
What you set per tier
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | What buyers see. "Early bird", "GA", "Table for 4". |
| Price | What you receive per ticket. Minimum $1 for paid tiers, or set $0 for a free tier. |
| Capacity | How many exist. Leave it blank for unlimited. |
| Sell by | When the tier stops selling. Useful for closing early bird at midnight. |
Capacity
You can raise a tier's capacity whenever you like. You can't lower it below what's already sold, because those tickets exist.
The count includes checkouts in progress, so a seat is held from the moment someone starts paying. An abandoned checkout releases its seats automatically, but that can take up to 30 minutes — a limit Stripe sets, not us. On a fast-selling tier this means the number can read slightly ahead of reality for a little while.
Limits per person
Any single order is capped between 1 and 4 tickets. You can also set a limit on how many one person can buy for the event in total, which is the setting that actually stops one account clearing your allocation.
Free tiers
A $0 tier is an RSVP rather than a purchase — no checkout, no card, no fee. You can mix free and paid tiers on the same event.
