Becoming a curator
nesso is a curated platform. Anyone can discover and attend events, and anyone with an account can start a curator page in the app. We then get to know each curator and verify the ones who are a good fit. That helps us maintain the quality of experiences we want to be known for.
Start a page now
In the nesso app, open Curators and tap Run events? Create your curator page. Add a name, a photo and a line about your community, and your page is live right away. You can post events as soon as it exists.
New pages are unverified, which just means there is no gold Verified badge yet. If your community already has a page on nesso, search for it while creating yours and send a claim request instead. We check each claim before adding you as an admin.
Get verified
Verification is a conversation, not a form to wait on. Use the form at the bottom of this page, or contact us directly via socials or email. Tell us what you're building and roughly how often.
Applications come straight to me. There's no queue and no automated screening, and you'll get a reply from a person.
What happens next
- A conversation. Tell us what you're building and what you need to take it where you want it to go.
- If we end up being a good fit for each other, I verify your page. Your page and your personal profile live in the same app, so you can run your group and sign up for other events from one login.
- You connect Stripe, which is what lets you sell tickets. See Getting paid.
- You post your first event.
Adding your team
Groups can have multiple admins. Any admin can post and edit the group's events from their own profile.
You don't need Stripe connected to post an event. Post first, connect when you're ready to sell — though ticket options only appear once Stripe is live on your group.
Who you're dealing with
Getting support on nesso isn't like using other platforms that leave you in a support queue in another time zone. Once you set up Stripe, you can get my direct phone number, and if something breaks the night of your event, you call me and I'm on it. Full stop.
I built this app myself from the ground up, so fixes come from me, not a ticket filed with a vendor who'll get to it next quarter. If something's broken or missing, I get right on it.
Part of what nesso earns goes back into the community it came from: towards sponsoring social events as well as community work like tutoring and food drives. The fee is small on purpose, and where it goes should be visible to you.
